I've had a lot going on lately. I've moved across country, Casey finished his AIT and is in-processing at his new duty station (Fort Lewis, WA), we're moving into our new house 2 days before Christmas (eek!), Phoenix is getting bigger and smarter each day.... Craziness!
Right now we are staying at an extended stay hotel. It was CRAZY expensive at TLF. We couldn't believe it. Sheesh. Honestly, I don't know where the money is going to come from tomorrow. We have to pay the deposit and the prorated December rent and first month's rent. I think we are like $200 short. Ugh. Well, technically, we have enough right now, but that's because the charge for hte hotel hasn't gone through yet. Sigh. The military didn't give Casey a travel card like my stepdad has, so pretty much everything has come out of pocket. Sure, we got an advance on the expenses, but it wasn't the full amount. I hope the rest comes through soon.
Phoenix cut his first tooth a few days ago, and the 2nd one just came in tonight. He's getting so big! He can sit up for a long period of time, and is still a good stander. Almost ready to stand on his own! But he still doesn't get up on his knees. Silly kid. He loves food. His favorites are bananas and pickles. EW. I hate both of those LOL
Casey's AIT sucked majorly, and so far his unit here sucks too. His sponsor didn't show up when he/she was supposed to, so Casey still doesn't know where his unit is and hasn't met any of the people in it. I hope they get in lots of trouble for it. He did have one assigned, his was the only one at the meeting who didn't show : /
I think we're going to enjoy life here. It's been rainy and gloomy everyday, but it hasn't been too bad. Gas is kind of expensive, but I'm very excited to move into our house. It's big, 3 bed 2 bath 1500 sq ft. The kitchen is a little small for my liking, but we can't afford the kitchen I want anyway ;) The counter top is an ugly 50s teal, but there are lots of cupboards and there's tons of storage. The living room is pretty big, and there's a small dining room. The laundry room is HUGE and theres a sink right next to the washer. So of course, I love the set up for diapers LOL I can soak them in the sink and I can string a line... Oh the possibilities :)
